Well not really, but it could actually manage to deviate the car from the obstacle on impact, which is what they are looking for on this kind of test...

How else do you think they got it to drive into a barrier?

The Challanger being a really old design (for the most part), so that’s not surprising. I’m surprised by the Mustang - it should be much better at the small overlap. That A-pillar... Camaro is what I I would have figured the Mustang would do as well. Shed the wheel/front suspension and let it absorb a lot of the energy. Rim just comes apart, which is neat. Camaro A-pillar barely moves.

The challenger looks to have it’s eyes popping out when it hits

So none of them are very safe, more or less?

it was old a long time ago

That is a defining factor in something being regarded as old.

Considering the amount of reinforcements Chrysler tacked onto their LA/LD/LX cars just for this test, I’m disappoint.

Such a letdown at Factory Five! I’d say at least 8 Mustangs and no crashes? The Saab made it home under its own power Btw!

I was hoping the 911 would make up for the lack of burnouts. That was pretty funny when it burped all over the place.
